To provide reliable vehicle management, route verification, and check-in services, we collect the following types of information:
A. Location Data
The Application collects precise GPS location information (latitude, longitude, speed, and timestamp) in the following scenarios:
- Trip Check-In & Check-Out: Captured at the exact moment a driver starts or ends a vehicle trip to log start and destination locations.
- Periodic Route Logging: Captured periodically (e.g. every 5 minutes) strictly while the application is active in the foreground and a vehicle is checked in.
📍 Foreground Location Only: CareDrive does not track or collect background location data when the application is minimized, closed, or when no vehicle is checked in by the user.
B. User Account & Profile Information
When you register, log in, or update your profile, we may collect:
- Full name and username / Login ID
- Email address and mobile phone number
- Assigned company and driver role
- Profile photograph (uploaded voluntarily for driver identity verification)
- Encrypted authentication credentials
C. Camera and Photo Gallery
The Application requests access to your device's camera roll/photo gallery only when you choose to upload or update your driver profile picture. We do not access, scan, or upload other private photos on your device.
D. Device and Notification Data
We may collect device information such as device model, operating system version, and push notification tokens to send essential dispatch alerts, vehicle handover/release requests, and trip reminders.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information exclusively for authorized business and fleet operations, including:
- Authorizing driver check-ins and vehicle check-outs.
- Maintaining accurate vehicle mileage, trip duration, and route logs.
- Facilitating vehicle handover release requests between company drivers.
- Enabling fleet administrators to review authorized vehicle journeys on map routes.
- Providing customer and driver support.
4. Data Storage and Security
We implement industry-standard technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal and location data against unauthorized access, loss, alteration, or disclosure. All data transmissions between the application and our servers are encrypted using HTTPS/TLS protocols.
5. Information Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal or location data to third parties or advertising networks. Information is only accessible to:
- Authorized Fleet Administrators: Designated managers within your organization for vehicle oversight and trip auditing.
- Peer Drivers within the Organization: Limited to displaying the active driver's name and contact number when a vehicle is marked as "In Use" for direct handover communication.
- Legal Compliance: When required by applicable law, regulation, or legal process.
6. Data Retention and Account Deletion
We retain trip and user data as long as necessary to provide fleet management services and fulfill legitimate business/auditing obligations.

7. Children's Privacy
The CareDrive application is designed strictly for authorized corporate fleet drivers and administrators and is not intended for use by children under 13 years of age.
